QUESTION

I’m a Korean married to a resident here, so eventually will have a dependant visa.

The question is, what is the process for getting a dependant visa for my 16-year old daughter from a previous marriage?

We went to the Immigration Department and they asked for a “custody certificate?”

Where should and how should I get it? Please advise. Thank you very much.

Hello there, I am a permanent resident of Hong Kong. I recently got married and my wife is with me here in Hong Kong. The question I would ask about, my wife has son who is 16 years old around who was from her ex-husband son and the thing is, during the time of processing the visa of wife we forgot to write his name as our son. Is there any possibility to add his name and bring him to Hong Kong in future.

It should be possible to add your wife’s son to her residence application. You can submit a request to the Immigration Department to include him as a dependent. If that’s not feasible, you may need to apply for him separately. Be sure to provide all necessary documentation regarding your relationship and custody rights.
