On April 28, 2016 Dragon Law, the Hong Kong Visa Centre and Cyberport co-hosted a seminar entitled Hong Kong Visas for Startups, Entrepreneurs & SMEs – Stuff That Counts
This segment sets out all the Resources you will need to go about securing the exact visa you need without having to pay for any professional help in your employment, startup or entrepreneurial journey to Hong Kong.
PRACTICE UPDATE: How the content must now be read in light of current ImmD policy:
This seminar overview and resource deck must be updated to remove historical characterizations of the GEP Entrepreneur route as accessible to early-stage, seed-funded SME founders. The presentation materials must draw a stark line between standard GEP applications and government-backed incubation tracks: founders with less than HKD 1.5M–2.0M in cash reserves and without the capacity to immediately contract 2 to 3 local permanent residents must be directed away from general entrepreneur filing. The guidance must frame Cyberport and HKSTP incubation schemes not merely as helpful enhancements, but as the mandatory statutory safe harbor for early-stage innovation ventures.
