On March 2, 2017 I was asked by Campfire in Kennedy Town to contribute to their FUCKUP NIGHT series and invited to share my tale of business woe and commercial misfortunes which befell me between 2000 and 2010.

Hong Kong Visa Geeza – How I F#cked Up Between 2000 and 2010 – this is that 19 minute presentation.

I am inquiring about my possibility of visiting HKG again as my stay was delayed by one day. Below is my story

I had visited HKG previously on a 14 day business visa and that i came back on time. On the next visit (Again on a 14 day business visa) and on the 13th day (Friday) i went to some place near Happy Valley (Causeway Bay) and befriended a few indians there and asked them to advise if there was any good indian place to have dinner as it was like 1-2 AM in the morning and i was feeling hungry. My flight was scheduled for next day on saturday afternoon (14th day) so i thought that i can spare a few more hours hangning around and have late dinner. The people i made friends with on friday told me that there would be no indian restaurant open at that time so instead they offered me to join them at their place where they will prepare indian food for me. This is where i want wrong. Once at their flat (Somewhere nearby) they offered me a cold coffee laced with something that made me go blank almost immediately. I dont even remember what happened to me for the next 1 day. My friend who had come with me had a flight on Sunday and since i did not return to the flat in happy valley on saturday he filed a missing complaint for me with the local police in happy valley. SInce my friend had a flight on sunday he went back to india. I dont remember anything but i found my friend come to my place on Monday and that i was in my flat. I dont even know how i reached or who dropped me to my flat. On sunday i gained some consciousness and skyped my another friend in HKG that i was at home (I was not aware that i had already missed my flight). My friend along with police came to my home and picked me and took me to the police station and made me sign a few documents that i was found and i believe that they closed the missing person report. Later on they handed me over to the HKG immigration department who took me to some remote location and i was kept in a there with other people who looked like defaulters who had illegally made their way to HKG and were charged with illegal migration stuff. They kept me there for 4 days and on friday i managed to book my flight (Through my friend) and went back to india. Also that on the way back my passport was handed over to the airline staff members and i was told that i would get the passport once i land in india. It is to be noted that my passport was not stamped as “Deported” or with some other demarkations.
My question is that would i be able to go to HKG again considering the fact that i could not take my flight and overstayed in HKG for one or may be two days. If my intention would have been to go absconding i would not have returned to my flat.

Please advise if the immigration authorities would allow me to enter HKG again.

Try pre-arrival registration again and if that works it should be OK. if not you will need to apply for a visa.
