I have given this talk around town for the last couple of years now and so pleased to finally add it to our coverage of the Hong Kong investment visa. This segment sets out the typical reasons why applications are denied by the Hong Kong Immigration Department and seeks to point out in advance the pitfalls to avoid.
The talk was graciously hosted at WYND Co-working Space, ran by a group of great people for whom I have a great deal of time.
As a company we would like to send her overseas to work, but she would like to continue to build up her time to eventually be eligible for PR in Hong Kong.
She would come back to Hong Kong regularly, for consultations etc but in aggregate not a very long time.
I and my wife are PR’s here in HK and have been for about 10 years now.
My question is: how long does she need to spend here to keep up her eligibility for PR in Hong Kong, even though she is overseas on this assignment?
She has been a full-time employee, has a bank account, and has been paying tax etc, and has all records of that up to date.
She rents an apartment too, but that would need to lapse once she is away on this assignment. She could use our address here if required.
In this occasional series of commentary, I provide a peek inside our professional practice and offer a glimpse of what it’s like to be part of the Hong Kong Visa Centre team.
In this short piece I explain how the majority of our business here at the Hong Kong Visa Centre comes from word of mouth referrals; especially given that our tribe is now more than 55,000 strong!

This segment addresses specifically the expectations ImmD have as regards the capital sum on hand to be able to properly finance your new business (and with it your Hong Kong investment visa to boot!)
