The Hong Kong Visa Centre Sizzle’s and Fry’s With Jason & Janice – All For a Great Cause!

Posted by / in Musing / 3 responses

Martyn and I are truly proud to be associated with Empire Media’s new web TV show, Sizzle and Fry and jumped at the chance to sponsor a donation to Foodlink each time co-presenters Jason Black & Janice Leung-Hayes successfully pull off their  prank calls on the brightest and greatest in the F&B game in Hong Kong. See below for how they prank call the venerable Mr Richard Ekkebus, 24th top ranked chef in the world!

Jason is both a client and good friend of ours and has been working really hard these last few months to bring a breath of fresh air to the F&B scene here in the HKSAR.

Jason and I both attended the TV Presenter training course at Pinewood Studios last April and, as you can see for yourself, his training has really paid off!

Sizzle and Fry is Jason’s very first show and, whilst he is completely new to this kind of TV production, he has filled a clear and obvious gap in the market for high quality content in the F&B scene and offers fresh insight which has really been missing until now.

I know that Jason has big plans for the future so keep your eye out for his work and, better still, subscribe to his YouTube channel and follow Sizzle and Fry on Twitter.

I’ve seen the rushes on the rest of the series and if you like to dine out in this fine town, you won’t be disappointed!

QOTW: Swapping to a Hong Kong Employment Visa from a Working Holiday Visa – Possible?

Posted by / in Employment Visas, Your Question Answered / No responses

The Working Holiday Visa is an excellent addition to the options young people of certain nationalities have to come to Hong Kong to work; but can you stay here longer than the original 12 months ImmD give you?

QUESTION  OF  THE  WEEK

Hi,

I am on a UK Working Holiday Visa.

The question is this:

Can I upgrade to a full working visa during my 12 months, at the end or after my Working Holiday Visa is finished if I find work and a company that will sponsor me?

Or will I be refused on the grounds I shouldn’t be looking for permanent work (or other grounds you may know of).

QOTW: Can I Easily Swap Back to a Hong Kong Investment Visa from an Employment Visa Once Again?

Posted by / in Employment Visas, Investment Visas, Your Question Answered / No responses

Entrepreneur to employee and then back to being an entrepreneur again – what will the Hong Kong Immigration Department make of this scenario…?

QUESTION  OF  THE  WEEK

Hello,

I was on an investment visa for a year when I started my own business and then took on a full time role with another company.  I was then transferred to an employment visa

I am now considering leaving this role and going back to actively work in my business.

Can I apply for an investment visa for a second time or does it simply get transferred to my own company as an employment visa?
