  • If there has been no change * in your relationship circumstances since your visa was first issued or last extended then getting your visa extended is really just an administrative exercise.

  • You need to start preparing your application paperwork 35-40 days before your visa is set to expire.

  • You use forms ID91 and ID481A.

  • Follow the guidance on the Hong Kong Visa Extension Kit and submit your application 30 days before your visa expires..

  • You can process your extension application on the 5th FLOOR of Immigration Tower on a walk-in basis only (no prior appointments or online applications are allowed) which means you will likely have to wait a while so it is preferable to go early in the morning.

  • Simply follow STEP 1 through STEP 5 above using the templates, flowcharts and guidance contained in the Hong Kong Visa Extension Kit.
