It
is rare * that a dependant visa is extended separately from
a family sponsor's visa but, in such a case, you need to start
preparing your application paperwork 35-40 days before your
visa is set to expire.
Follow
the guidance on the Hong Kong Visa Extension Kit and submit
your application 30 days before your visa expires.
You
use Immigration Department Forms ID91, ID481A and ID481B.
You
can choose to start your application entirely online or submit
it in person but book your appointment via the web.
Alternatively
you can just walk in to the 5th FLOOR of Immigration Tower without
an appointment but you might have to wait in this case or even
come back on another day if the quota for the day is full.

process you decide to adopt, you simply follow STEP 1 through
STEP 5 above using the templates, flowcharts and guidance contained
in the Hong Kong Visa Extension Kit.
