Please
note the absolute condition precedent to securing an extension
under the Capital Investment Entrant Scheme is maintenance of
your qualifying asset portfolio and your ability to make a declaration
to this effect.
Capital
Investment Entrant Scheme Visas are not ‘extended’ strictly
speaking but are ‘renewed’. This means that the original application
forms (for both principal and dependant family) are completed
once again and a supporting declaration made as to the ongoing
maintenance of your qualifying asset portfolio.
You use HKID forms ID967 for the main applicant and ID99& for
accompanying dependant family members, as well as Declaration
Form SF/IMM/1611/
You
need to start preparing your application paperwork 35-40 days
before your visa is set to expire.
Follow the guidance on the Hong Kong Visa Extension Kit * and
submit your application 30 days before your visa expires.
You
can process your extension application on the 7th FLOOR of Immigration
Tower on a walk-in basis only (no prior appointments or online
applications are allowed) which means you will likely have to
wait a while so it is preferable to go early in the morning.
Simply
follow STEP 1 through STEP 5 above using the templates, flowcharts
and guidance contained in the Hong Kong Visa Extension Kit.
*If you have any specific queries in respect of
your own personal circumstances, please submit a question to the
Hong Kong Visa Geeza Blog and I will PodCast you
an answer within 24 hours.
